There was a girl dealing with the pressures of life, pressure to be a great daughter, an obedient Christian, a better big sister, an efficient employee, a great girlfriend, among many other things. Oftentimes we neglect the way life's pressure can truly affect people because "we're so good at managing." This girl in particular made a video to express her feelings, about midway she said "and to be honest, I don't want to live anymore" then she paused, my heart broke in the midst, and spoke "but I am going to try". Do you know what happened in that pause moment? She thought about HOLY and our coming efforts to prevent suicide. We hadn't even gotten started and one life had already been saved. This is how we’ve become the solution.

 

Habit of Loving You launched as a campaign on May 15th, 2021. There was no official plan of how long it would last, however it was intended to be a temporary initiative underneath another organization founded by our CEO, Alexis Jones, at the time. Our focus was public messaging by way of billboards. It was an efficient way to reach thousands and save many lives even though we were unable to account for those we'd help, but that's what we love most. The heart of our organization is not fueled on notoriety or being in the public eye, but truly helping people.

Our mission is to help prevent suicide through community engagement, fundamental knowledge, and public messaging with a vision to assist educationally, financially, & physically in the community before they need it, hence our slogan "Here Before You Need It".

Fast forward May 14th, 2022 almost an exact year to date we have become a registered non-profit in the state of Texas and are now 501C3 filed!
